You always say to me with a smile but why tonight you are different. I am not sure what I have done wrong. Maybe I can't see it clearly by myself. You know I never hurt anyone and especially girls to whom you advise me to respect and be good. Definitely, I always do like what you told me. Every word you have said I keep in my little heart. But I realized the first woman I hurt just now was YOU. I really want to say sorry, but you say it's too late and what the heck you can do with the word SORRY. Maybe it is fate! And you call me boy even though I look quite old. Why? when you meet the heat-point of your life you could not bear, and then you blame fate. I tell you the last time, Look at yourself. You leave me alone right now...

You should have listened to my reasons before you walked away from me. Now I can't see your shadow that is always by me when I'm down, and even your tears falling down because of me disappear...I just want to stand in front of you and say all the words in my mind to you, but I can't cos I feel I'm not strong and brave enough to do it. Now what I can do is just to write my words down in the paper that you wont read. This may be the lyric of my song I sing along to show my feeling deep inside of me. Tell the truth I almost cry when I was writing this. But luckily my tears did not fall down. No matter how the tears were falling down inside my heart. 2. Movie Line!

The story begins in the poor village, but happily with nice and helpful neighbors. There are two sons in a family with a chronically sick mother. The big brother takes all responsibility he bears since he was born. At the young age, both brothers enjoyed learning martial art, history, and other school subjects. As time passed by, the big brother realized he has to work harder to support his brother to go to high school and his mother's medication while he continued doing his study for Medicine University. The brother fortunately got the scholarship to enter the university. He was dreaming to write a master piece so as to help other poor people and even his hometown man. He believed he can help those unfortunate people who are struggling with their lives through life time such as health problem, and family issues. But all of his dreams were killed and burned into the ground when he faced with a really big challenging in his life. He was answering one big question he doesn’t want to hear or maybe other people don’t want to. The question is “Who Killed My Younger Brother?” At the end of the day, he decided to quit school and tried to give the right answer and to do something right for himself or for others. He started to relearn his martial skills so that he could defeat all those evil-minded guys…the story goes all the way down…with the title "កំហឹងឈាមរាវ" “YOUTH”S WRATH”, Khmer movie, Action, drama, Adventure...

Remember, son, you have to know yourself clearly, to reunite with your same blood men, to be strong in what you are doing, to dare to move on together, and to take responsibility as a name of " A Glory Of Gold Land!" if you want to live in such a peaceful world you wish for. But, however, there is no perfect world for mankind because they are so ambitious and greedy.

So what then? hey wait, wait...where you go, old man?

Walking alone back to the place where I don't really sure it is, I think to myself, how can human be like such a greedy and selfish creature? Don't they want to have a peaceful and happy world? Why do they need to get suffering, fears, revenge, and no-sense and evil thought?

Heck, kinda emotional! Be strong, man...hey where am I now? it seems there is only me in this land. Oh no, it's not land. what's that? It's at the top of a mountain! How can I live? I will be killed soon, oh god.......no I want a peaceful and happy world......

With a splendid sunshine this morning, I’m sitting alone on the bench after doing exercise near the river side. It is such a great feeling to absorb the fresh air and fly my romantic emotion with this kind of view. For a while I feel that I see something.
Oh it is a girl walking toward me. Oh yeah, now my heart that was just mixed up with the moment of romance turns to focus on another thing along with an unusual beating…

Her eyes are as bright as diamond and her body is as slim as a super star as well as her smiley and sweet looking face. Her smile costs me almost my concentration because when she smiles her teeth shine as brightly as a star. Oh man what a beautiful! She walks like a fashion model. What almost blinds my eyes is her skin as white as a snow white. Definitely, it takes my breath away………

As she almost approaches me, my heart is beating like a fukcing fast train. And then she stares at me and says why are you looking at me like this?
And I reply quickly, so how should I look at you, though?
She’s still staring at me and says again, I…used to know you, didn’t I?
I say, er…oh yeah I think so! Ya wouldn’t you want to sit here for a while and talk?
Yeah of course, it’s like a long lost friend. It is better we have a chit chat here. I think I’m free. Then both smile……….

I start popping up many questions in my mind. I’m thinking what I should ask and talk with her. Should I ask her where she lives and her phone number or something? Looking into her eyes for a while…..
And then I ask, “Do you love me…” A pause, she slaps my face sounding blach blach….
She says do you think I am such a kind of that person huh, boy? What the hell are you talking about? I have been already attached, you know? Immediately after that I respond, oh no I mean do you love me as a friend? Why you don’t listen till the end….

Uh-oh, is that so? I’m sorry for that.
Gentlemanly reply, I say it’s okay. Don’t worry! Forget about it. I forgive you and I smile. But should you give me a compensation for your mistake?
She says shyly with her wonderful smile, what do you want then?
Ya can I kiss you?( Almost one more slap) No I’m kidding.
She smiles and says why you didn’t ask me for the first time.

Why is it hard just to say those three words with the ones you should say to? But when it’s time to say it almost too late because the person you need to talk with is too bored of waiting for. With what reason do you have to keep this for that long? You have to say it when you feel you want to. Don’t try to ignore, man! Well now it’s Valentine’s Day which is the day to express the feeling of love and care to the ones you have belonged to like family, the lover(s), friends, and others to be loved.

To me I have rarely expressed those three words verbally to the ones I should say to. Now I’m so regretful that I make them feel not so close to me because of my behavior and shyness to say that. Why can I just open my mouth and say it? Thinking twice on this again, I realize that I have to change and give these bunches of love to them. I need to do something right now.

You know family is like your vein. You do need them all the time to keep you alive and to get more warmth, happiness, love, and great emotion in life. Why do you seem to walk away and not to look back and take care of them? Oh man, you have to realize that the most wonderful and peaceful "smiles" from your family is one of the most priceless things which is hard to find and buy. Would it be nice that you just tell them by those three words and do something happy during the best time of the year? Give more love to them equally and whole-heartedly…….

And I think friends are like the string attached to a kite. It is impossible to live just alone. Accompanying, gathering and guidance with all kinds of smiles are what friends can make. Likewise, the kite needs the string to support its flight and direction. If there is no string attached with, then the kite cannot be flown or if it flies, it will be absolutely blown away by power of the wind and thus this kite doesn’t have any direction to go. It looks like no more fun and consequently this kite must be so fearful whether it falls into the ocean or somewhere unknown that no one can approach. And I guess making more friends might be good. If I was asked to choose 100,000 dollars or get a good friend, I will definitely get a good friend even though I have to face with eating second rice with fried egg all the time.

Born to love unconditionally and to be loved!

About the lover is what your heart’s always asking for. You need to sacrifice time and everything, I guess. I shouldn’t go further on this because I don’t have much experience to tell about this fact. I’m afraid I will confuse somebody who has been playing with this game of love or who is solving with this equation of love. I’d better do some more research in case I misunderstand.

With these, I end my feeling of this day of love with my simple song I just wrote on this valentine's day. This melody is kind of out of beat because I'm not professional but I just made it for expression of my feeling anyway. It's just for fun.....hope you enjoy.

Singapore Film Maker

SINGAPORE: Anthony Chen may be only 24, but he's already pulled off two firsts.

Last year, his short film Ah Ma became the first Singaporean film to compete for the short film Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. This year, his next short film Haze is headed for the Berlin Film Festival on Feb 17 as the first Singaporean short film to be selected to compete in the short film category.

The 15-minute-long Haze follows a teenage couple as they skip school and on a day plagued by the haze from forest fires. The film was selected from 1,500 entries from 64 countries.

Chen, a graduate of Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Film Sound and Video course, said he received the news at 1am on Thursday.

"My team and I are surprised, we're elated," he told TODAY. "But, since the festival is only slightly more than a month away, we're preoccupied with trying to rush out a 35mm print of the film to send to Berlin."

Haze was only completed in the first week of December. Chen had sent a rough cut of the film to the Berlin film festival organisers in October. They saw potential in the film and urged him to send in the complete version when it was ready.

Despite his early success, making a feature film is not yet in the pipeline for the young director — although he has been approached by people in the film industry both here and overseas.

In two weeks' time, he will pack his bags for London to pursue a two-year Masters course in film directing at the National Film and Television School.

"It's not about which festivals your film has gone to, but about being ready. There are still a lot of skills I want to pick up. I want to build on my foundation for making films," said Chen.

Three other Singaporean films are also going international via renowned film festivals. Ho Tzu Nyen's The Bohemian Rhapsody and Boo Jun Feng's Katong Fugue are in competition at the Clermont-Ferrand film festival on Feb 1. The former is competing in the Labo category, and the latter in the main International Competition section.

Meanwhile, Lucky 7 — an independent feature film by seven up-and-coming local directors including Sun Koh, Brian Gothong Tan and Tania Sng — is set to screen at the Rotterdam International Film Festival on Jan 23.

While an Oscar may not yet be forthcoming, local films are certainly off to a good start. - TODAY/fa

Time to exceed your expectations of yourself and be the best you can

Last week, in part one of Style’s horoscope special for the year ahead, Shelley von Strunckel examined how we will have to account for our previous actions in our personal lives. This week, she reveals how the year of reckoning will affect the world around us.

Bandar Seri Begawan - Applications for the Dr Gob Keng Swee (GKS) Scholarship 2008 are now open. The scholarship has been set up by a Singapore financial community and is administered by the Association of Banks in Singapore.

According to a press release from the Singapore High Commission, about three to four scholarships are annually awarded to outstanding individuals from selected countries in the Asia-Pacific-region to pursue undergraduate studies in Singapore Universities. The GKS Scholarship is open to citizens of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, Lao PDR, India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea.
The scholarship is tenable for undergraduate studies in Singapore commencing in July/August 2008. The course of study should preferably be (but not necessarily) relevant to the financial sector. All courses will be conducted in English.

The scholarship includes tuition and other compulsory fees, economy air passage as well as an annual maintenance allowance. There is a three-year bond upon completion of studies.

I just listen to this country song called skin by Rascal Flatts.
This reminds me of something deep inside my heart not easy to fade away for there is no eraser to rub it out. There is only one thing that could be a better cure which is letting tears falling down silently with smiley, though. Take a deep breath and count how many tears falling down every second. But it is impossible to count it accurately since I feel so confused at that moment. The only resolution is I have to face with this and this and this and tell myself that I shouldn't be too foolish to play with destiny of life. I have to stand and to prepare for the tomorrow unexpected and unclear.

A Cambodia football team took an opportunity to present in the AFC under age 16 qualifying championship in Indonesia last month. Cambodia was placed in the Group F including Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, and Laos. Unfortunately, the result was not quite good to surprise us since Cambodia did not manage to climb up the mountain of challenge in the battle of kicking a ball. However, based on the result, on behalf of the fan I would say it was a bit alright since we could get some "eggs" back home. But we needed to work harder than that. I'm wondering when we Cambodia team could bring some surprise for your people and fans who often expect the result before the game starts to be negative. When can you? Is it just the matter of our nature or attitude ( a stupid question)?

Hopefully, let the future prove us! But....

Personally, I don't like much about this kind of status stuff. I like a simple life but I'd prefer to think 'big' that is so called aspirant. Yeah I'm often convinced by the idea of an ambition which I and my friend sometimes talk about.

Well, this is a good lesson to learn. Do the kind of things that come from your heart. When you do, you wont be dissatisfied, you wont be envious you wont be longing for somebody else’s things. On the contrary, you will be overwhelmed with what they come back.

Should bear in mind that LOVE can make things possible.....

I just managed to finish reading a story book that my friend recommended to me. That's such a great book. I like it. It is evolved very much with emotional attachment between a student and his beloved professor. And if you are sensitive enough you could burst into tears. Actually, even though I'm not kinda sensitive, it almost made my tears down. Most importantly, this book will teach you a life lesson when you grab it and read. Yeah here is the book...

As the book is trying to talk about the transition to Democracy in Cambodia and its development, let me throw away my little thought here.

Firstly, I think that democracy is probably good tool to solve some consequences happening in the country and if it is correctly implemented, there would yield good results for society as a whole. I just believe in " More thoughts, More improvement and More is better than alone" in my word.

However, the improvement of democracy in Cambodia is like a ship that has cruised out a long journey full of challenges, which is not over yet. A long way of genuine democracy in a country needs to be responded by all people within the country especially the government with the supporting from international communities to make this path go smoothly and successfully. This is not easy yet it is not difficult. The government has to act properly and try the best to reach the potential solutions dealing with political violence, corruption, and lack of resources, in particular human resources which are the factors to build up the democracy. Good governance is the main important thing that the government has to commit to do so as to strengthen the rule of law and firmly implement and enforce existing laws. Hopefully, all Cambodian people will understand the concept of democracy fully and will be able to apply it into reality in that as democratization of the country is truly accepted, the people have rights to participate in political and economic decision in the sense of developing the nation’s economy.

Here is the book I should read. Why?

First of all, it's for the purpose of writing my report.

Secondly, I just wanna know more about my lonely Cambodia. Yeah this book lets me realize some parts of History of Cambodia in terms of political, social problems, economy, and what more to know. Before I read this book, I think that Cambodia is just a lonely planet with full of happiness( probably fake or not I'm not sure). And It's just " very much" corrupted country. there are so many good people do good things! Crimes are not so much important problems for they are considered as minor things to solve, thus it's delayed to take a step combating this undesirable social issue. Safety is not the main concern and you can travel wherever you want as long as you can hold on. Poverty is reducing time to time since some poor people die due to starvation, bad health care, and other things related. It just sounds joking. Actually, Cambodia's economy is increasing annually and it's expected that poverty will be reduced much more since we could get benefits from oil resource. Hope it'll turn out well for the nation. And while reading the book, I feel like there are a lot of interesting stuff to know as well. Of course, It's perhaps a good book for law students or social science scholars who want to research more and who are bookworm or sth.

Oh yeah, next, I just want to improve my reading skill with those difficult texts. Somehow, it makes my brain hurt but not my heart, haha.

Last but not least, I just take it as my sleeping pill for some time. Laying down n reading n sleeping n dreaming of something. Good!

By the way, if I say something wrongly or misunderstood, please just correct me because I'm too young and my knowledge is still less or may be sucky (it's just a terminology).

Time is likely to run so fast that I could not follow for some time since I am still walking. And also time makes me miss something that I don't know in ma life. Why time you never stop? And why you have so only 24 hours a day? But if you have more than that I might be worse than before, so it's better to have only 24 h. Well, for these days I don't know what's wrong with me. Once time I did message and call my family but I couldn't hear anything from them. What's happening there? Why you leave me alone? I know you don't want me to be bothered with those things and don't want me to put hard on ma life but I feel it's not a good idea. At least you should tell me what's going on. I'd like to know and to help if I can. Why should I be ignored?

Sometimes you used to think I might be a strong man but I maybe not if I'm alone. I want to hear from you or see your smiles even get your good words to give me more strengths. I probably do good when I have these. If you touch my heart, you always hear sound as usually beating. And if you ask me do you hurt? Yeah, I'm hurting since a man always has a heart with pain, sadness, happiness together. Silently, you think a man could cry. Yeah of cos, a man also know how to cry but when he cries he doesn't want somebody to see him crying( he cries in silence). Is crying bad for a man? No it's not! As I remember one author saying, crying is for both man and woman. When cry it's just to relieve your pains. If you feel it can help, why not cry? This is just what I interpret from her view. I also do agree with her idea.

Anyway, hope you all do good and enjoy your life. I have only this song that I've practiced with my guitar. It's one of my favorite songs, called " Here without you". If I could not sing beautifully, I just want you to hear my heart.

How to be Perfect?

What (the hell) am I not perfect in everything I wanna do? Do people always need to practice, practice, practice to get perfect. I want to do thing one time and then get it done well but I CAN'T,i can't, i can't. Like my study I want to read one time to get fully understanding but there is no way for me to do that. I keep doing it again and the result is still not good enough....what's wrong, what's wrong now. So let's say if I have a lot of work to do, then how can I deal with this? It sounds I can do only little in ma life. Damn me! Not only ma study but also everything in ma life is still getting gloomy. Life is too short and how many times do I have to practice to get the perfect things in my lonely life? I'm not perfect....Sigh....

By the way, let put it aside for a while. I feel that music could somewhat help us cure some pains in life. Let's enjoy! Here I introduce you one song called " Annie" sung by our famous singer Sin Sisamuth. But now I just modernized this song and I sing along with my salty voice. These bellow reasons are some facts that most students are sleeping late or probably less per day.

Reason Number 1: With the heavy school load and tight project deadlines, it is no wonder students nowadays have to burn midnight oil just to complete the assignments.

Reason Number 2: Exam and more exam. Tests and more tests. Students are staying up late to revise for their papers, thus, turning in late.

Reason Number 3: The power of highly addictive computer games! Some students are so engrossed in their games that they are willing to forsake their sleep time.

Reason Number 4: Students today are so hooked up with the Internet and Instant Messaging that sometimes, unknowingly, they use the computer till the wee hours.

Reason Number 5: They are so used to sleeping late that they can’t turn in early!

Actually, sleep is important part of our daily lives. We would not be able to function well without sleeping properly. However, many people, especially youths, do not get enough of it. The results are not positive. With lack of sleep, many things are affected such as our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. All of these things are vital to be a good student because without it, how can you study, do well on an exam or participate in discussions? Without enough sleep our behavior will change making us worse students.

Of course we all need to get enough sleep. So relax, exercise, playing sports and schedule our study time well. For me these days, I don't feel I have a proper time management. My reasons are simply that watching YouTube so much, wasting time for nothing like too much daydreaming after 21 years old, lack of study plan. These lead me to sleeping problem and maybe other troubles also. Seriously speaking, I have to change this bad habit and try to make a plan and set my time properly. As I still remember, if you fail to make a plan, then you plan to fail. And now it makes me more worried. Come on guy, you need to take a step forward.....otherwise, you are still you and me is still me, Youngter talking to Samuth. First of all I need to get proper sleep and then start doing other things according to plan:).

Oh most often I listen to one song called Wake me Up when September ends but now I turn to listen another lyric of my own which is Wake me up When 7 am. By the way, I wanna thank to ma friend who helps me to kick ma a** out of ma bed since I'm just trying to change my sleeping habit n also I don't trust the alarm clock. He is the one who wakes me up when 7 am:) Many thanks dude! You've influenced me not only on my study but on some sports like PS2 soccer( I'm now going to another level but still need to practice more). If you wonder who is him, let me introduce. Do you believe in Horoscope? I just wonder whether we could predict what is gonna happen in our life or not. I'm quite interesting in this topic for some time. Yeah, it might be something we should know. Today, and also on Saturday, I feel strange to pick up a book to read for some pages which is the scientific book. While walking around somewhere with my friends, who are old but you shouldn't confuse that they are old age ; they're just similar age as mine, i.e I am still young then we can say they're also young:), we luckily go to Border which is the bookstore in Orchard unintentionally. Getting into there, I pick science book titled Your Horoscope of 2008. I'm quite doubtful n curious about this and I want to buy this book for reading at my pleasure time but....isn't that I am too broke or what? About the book it's related to your astrology which could tell what type of the person you are and based on this the book tells you what happens in the year 2008 of your life. Quickly reading, I go to the page talking about my astrological sign. Basically, due to my birthday 27 August I am Virgo which is an astrological sign associated with the constellation Virgo. Under the tropical zodiac, Virgo is occupied by the Sun from August 23 to September 22, According to Wikipedia, Virgo is associated with purity and service. Hopefully, one day I could find myself to get out of my shell. This is tough or not? No answer yet? How long can you know? Does it depend? Wait, wait, wait, am I trying to be curious? Okay well, let me stop and go to sleep to get some dreams cos till now I dream a little dreams.

Yeah, for so long the feeling of BBQ has gone away for some reasons that could be accepted. Luckily, it's just coming back again not from the sky but from my big senior here who invites all Cambodian fellows( who seem to be all kinds of stars like what...oh Like football stars, Super stars both dancing n singing, what's more, jokers( all sorts of good stuff), and most importantly, the best eaters) to attend this wonderful n romantic moments. But once she is going away from him and probably it is the last time for him, his heart is beating unusually and he makes this song for telling about his love-needing heart. To be sure just listen to this music and you'll feel his love.

Oh this song is also accompanied by my video which I show some part of my simple dance. Actually, I like dancing too and it becomes my favorite since I was young. But I never go training for time is not my side. O' damn me! by the way I have some more dance of my advanced level that I created by my own. Unluckily, I haven't had a chance to show it. A philosopher once said that there are three questions we have to answer in life before we are fully satisfied.

The first question is: Who am I? This question is not asking what my name is, but rather what my status here on earth is. Am I an individual on my own? A member of a family? A citizen of a country? Knowing my status here on earth will determine my value system, which will affect the decision I make today and the priorities I have in life.

The second question to ask ourselves is: what on earth am I doing here? In other words, what is my purpose in life? Having a purpose in life will give us the motivation to accomplish what we have in life. It may be money, fame, progression in the career, a happy family, individual pleasure, which are some of the examples what many people live for today. Having a purpose in life will give me the direction to walk towards, which will again affect what decision I make today.

But having a purpose in life is not enough; we need to have the satisfying purpose in life. How many people have started off wanting to make that a mount of money, and after doing that realize that the money does not satisfy them? How many people have wanted that position in the career, only to find out ‘it is all in vain’ after achieving that position? I believe that is why people who are considered successful by society go through mid-life crisis in life after achieving all that they have been struggling for in their lives. The question to ask your self is: what is the purpose in life?

Finally, the last question is: where am I going…..?

Rethink about it again. Only you who may be able to discover this path and then you’ll go for it.

The unforgettable birthday of mine!

It has been a long long time, almost 7 years that I most often ignore my birthday since I have rarely celebrated it. I remember it when I am supposed to write it down in filling a form or sth. And this time 27-08-2007 again, I nearly forget it but what a big surprise to me is my friend remind me of my birthday. They make a happy birthday party for me at my house here at Kallang or it's always called" Coolie Family, Ltd. Co." I haven't realized myself that this is my birthday! before a surprising party. Oh man, you are such a careless guy who might not love yourself so much that's why you can't even keep your birthday in your mind. Probably, most people think that their birthday is one of their most important things in their lives. How can I pass that thing without notice?

To my surprise, my friends or my coolies corporation have given me a big satisfaction in my life. It's so unforgettable birthday party for me. Also It's time for me to reveal some of my true stories that you ask me. Many goods questions are asked by a good questioner, Sokly who always comes up with critical and surprising questions. I am really thankful to you guys who are part of my life. I really appreciate what you have done to me. No one can break you guys and me. Hehe it sounds like..... Well. recalling back to the time I visited Cambodia I was so excited that I could not find the right word to describe my feeling of that moment. Never in my life will I forget those kinds of things. But now I just put aside the happiness for a moment and am continuing my school work again. However, I still do enjoy the school life but I feel missing that happy time.

Yeah, at that moment of time, along the way to Siem Reap, I felt so high that I could write a lot of things down to picture all the views and everything which I could see and feel....but it's hard to think of what I should write. I remember one thing said that it is hard to think but when you think it is hard to stop. Nevertheless, on the bus, sitting near pretty Khmer girls:), I tried to write something down. I wanted to describe about this and that but there were many popping up in my mind. Luckily, I had a feeling to write one note showing a happy mind! It's just simple words. Here is it.....

When time passes day by day, you are still at the place I used to stay. And you know I would be so fine if we have time to see sun shine together. When I was in Cam, there was nothing much to do besides hanging out from dawn till dark:D like a hard working person. Surprisingly, my second brother asked me to make a video with him as a memory. He needed one star to perform in the video. Well of course, as he wanted to be a star then I tried to help him. " Give some techniques to him...".

It's all about the song show. We just shoot ourself and make a video with the most presently popular songs. No train, No rehears, & No money too. You might get used to good videos with trained performers. So now maybe you need to try different things. Well, here we are. We did only one shot and did naturally. "We feel we like it and then we just do it." Anyway, we did this just for fun but my brother wanted to try to be well-known. He added on that everyone needs to be famous(នរណា...ក៏ចង់ល្បីដែរ). The U-14 Cambodian football stars was advised by the famous soccer player, Bobby Charlton. This team is said to be the good players among other Cambodia teams. And it is hoped that they would bring some more success for Cambodia. Last time they have done a good work in Malay. Let's hope for the future. But I just feel still there are not enough support and encouragement like other countries as I got the information from my brother who is also in the team( but I don't like to mention--it's too much to say!) . Well, on that day I also joined the event, And I got a message from Mr. Charlton that he hopes this team could give a good pride to Khmer and also Cambodia would be final with England!( It's just a big dream!)

For so long, I have been absent. Now here again I'm back after I have been doing many things for my holidays in Cambodia and still in Cam to do it more untill the time of new term beginning... Cambodia's Hun Sen tells Japanese he will fight graft

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen pledged Thursday to fight corruption to lure more investors from top donor Japan as he tries to wean his government away from foreign aid.

Hun Sen, visiting Japan for his 15th time, met with business leaders and signed a bilateral agreement with his counterpart Shinzo Abe on encouraging investment.

"By strengthening good governance, we will continue to thoroughly manage public agencies and to eradicate corruption and reduce costs for investors," Hun Sen said at the luncheon with business leaders.

"I firmly believe that Japanese investment is essential for further development of Cambodia," Hun Sen said.

Hun Sen himself has been embroiled in accusations of poor governance.

Earlier this month, London-based environmental group Global Witness -- in a report banned by the Cambodian government -- accused the political elite including Hun Sen's relatives of illegally logging the nation's forests.

Japan is the top donor to Phnom Penh, but the world's second largest economy accounts for a mere two percent of Cambodia's overall trade, according to Japanese official data.

Japan offered Thursday fresh grant aid of 295 million yen (2.4 million dollars) for a project to improve drainage and flood protection in Phnom Penh.

Donors are meeting in Cambodia next week, but many have expressed deep frustration over the lack of reform in the country including corruption.

Hun Sen has frequently praised China, which has a growing rivalry for influence with Japan, for handing over aid without any conditions.

But he said here: "Aid from Japan and China are both very important. I don't want to skip over Japan and look to China, nor the other way around."

"Japan and China are both irreplaceable important players when talking about an idea of an East Asia community," he said. "I am glad that the bilateral ties between Japan and China are increasingly more friendly."

Hun Sen said Cambodia was on a steady growth track, overcoming the regional economic crisis in the 1990s and occasional natural disasters.

Recently discovered natural resources, such as oil and natural gas, should also boost Cambodia's international standing, Hun Sen said.

"Cambodia historically had had difficulties and struggles. But we have overcome the difficulties with our strong will to develop the nation under democracy," he said.

Hun Sen voiced optimism that growth, which has surged ahead at around 9.0 percent a year since 2000, would help eliminate widespread poverty in Cambodia.

"It is my sincere hope that well thought-out social and economic development will further reduce poverty in our nation," he said.

He thanked Japan's consistent financial and other aid for his nation, adding that more assistance is needed to improve infrastructure, human resources, and business and technological know-how.

Japan pledged more than 100 million dollars at last year's donor meeting, which netted Cambodia some 600 million dollars in aid.

Hun Sen, who arrived late Wednesday and leaves Saturday, also had an audience with Emperor Akihito.

He will travel to the southern region of Fukuoka to observe a project in farm development, a top priority for Cambodia.

This is the coconut dance training. It almost finishes. We're gonna perform soon. This is a great thing to do when we like it! Well,we all are very enthusiastic to learn it despite that we feel that it's a bit tired to learn it and we are busy with our own stuff. Of cos, economically, there is no such free lunch. Regardless of this, we spare our own time to do it as we all show a feeling of love and support our own cultures and we'd like to know more about them too. It's great that we all are like so. I'd really appreciate all they have done. May god bless all of you good things in life and me too:)

(Frightening eyes.....)
Continuing from the sound was happening….it’s as usual. Guess what? It’s all about my guitar sound that I play every morning n practice it everyday singing along with my salty voice (so sorry with my neighbors). On that day, My head was just full of something I don’t know why maybe due to sleeping so late for 2 weeks….However, in the morning after drinking water a little more, I had a feeling to write something down which my third song. I decided to write in English even though my English is not much good. But I just practice it.
Actually, I spent one and half hour to complete it. By the way, this is just my third song writing.
My second one is in Khmer Language and it’s based on one Khmer novel which is the first novel I have ever read. Because of getting the feeling touching with the story, I have tried to make it a song. It may not be in standard form of song writing since I haven’t known about it at all; I just do it for my own standard(have fun with it…..) I haven’t had time to write it yet because it takes much time for me to write in Khmer Unicode and I’m lazy too. Every time I do, a lot of sweat is falling down. Nevertheless, I’ll post this 3^rd song first for any feedback. Thanks for any help.

Today I woke up unusually and then I was a bit thirsty. I went to take a bottle of water to drink; I almost finished it all. Looking around the fridge, I saw nothing left to eat only many water bottles. I said I don't hungry yet. Later on a moment, I checked my wallet; haha there was still one buck left lolz...By the way, food here costs at least 2 or 3 dollars per time, then I said gain I am not so hungry...and drink water a little more. Suddenly, one sound was happening...it is as usual. I started opening my laptop to listen to music and read some stuff on line.

I was impressed by one article I had read. It was about the Khmer Fighting Martial Art, talking about the Bokator. More reading go to this: Bakator News

I am very interested in this kind of stuff, and I hope one day I could learn it. I have talked with one of my friends that we will learn it together. After this we may have some projects about it too since he talked to me last time he has gotten some ideas working with this Bakator fighting. I hope we could do it also. The purpose that we want is that to encourage all Cambodians to love their own cultures and ancient things to keep it all alive since we feel that some of us may be not understand and know their own cultures well and probably do not support much. In contrast, they come to say that I love Foreign stuff lolz.. It's so hot...And this makes those foreigners feel confused about our Cultures with our lovely neighbor countries. "They may say that We have Nothing".

If we don't take a step to count on the glory of our cultures. Who will take care for us if you even don't take your eyes on it? Of course, we don't have nothing! We have a thousand of cultures and things to show off the world. Why don't we start to work together and support it all? Even though our country is not much bigger like in the past, we may don't want it anymore. What we need instead is Big reputation although we are so small now. We will make the world know about Cambodia clearly, not so blurred like nowadays. Famous reputation will last in the world unless we know how to do it. Hence, to my opinion, we just work together and support each other as much as you can depending on who you are. For me, I could share 100 rial for this improvement. Haha... Just a kidding. I will try my best to work on what I could share to this.

Start working now don't wait until tomorrow.

Yeah as I remembered not so clearly...:) one proverb says that Don't put what you can do today off until tomorrow. Then, wake up and do it now! Go together, Happy together and Smile together with pride....At last we will see what tomorrow looks like...

Oh goodness! I cant go to support my brother as I told myself that I would go to see him. But now I am really sorry to you. I am lying myself. Oh how many times a u lying yourself man...? No I don't have time. Don't give an excuse! However, hope you are fine man and play better even though I haven't met you and haven't given you some advice and techniques before you start your match. Hehe... I am proud of myself a bit although I am not in the national team like him. But talking about football to me, it's my pastime and my soccer skill is not that bad if you're happened to see while I am playing...:) I could teach him my trick and techniques that I have been playing for almost 11 years.

Last time I used to play with him but I felt I didn't show him much about my skills. Actually, this kid plays sometimes better than me but it's not really cos I just give him some motivation during a playing so that he could feel good for next time. But after that I wouldn't let him feel good for so long cos it might be not good for the long term. Then I try to make him more challenge, so I play harder and harder with him. Also he and I are the opposite football fan. He fans of Man Utd whereas I support my favorite team--Liverpool. In this sense, whenever there is a match between these two teams, we normally have a speech quarrel but not fighting.
Every time we play football together; it will be a hard time!

I remembered one time he was very angry to me and might think that I am not a good brother. Yeah playing the same team, he and I are the strikers as he goes left and I go right. This kid is a bit proud of himself to show off his skills in the field but playing football is not only one who can make it successful. Of course, he's too young to know; he just believe in himself. Then when I played at that time, I didnt pass the ball to him to shoot; I shot alone all the time and it made him feel very angry. So our team couldn't play well even though I tried to play well. we lost at last for the first round. I tried to explain him playing together dude! he refused to listen then I kicked him off to another team. I changed him with another small kid. I said you will lose kid and he said let's see. Then I rearranged my teams and we played accordingly. Then in the end we won lolz.... Show him that Dont be too much confident because for some time we need to work together and for some time we can work alone , so we need to make sure when it is. He still is young but now I hope he may understand. Anyway, I like to tell my trick also that I have learned from my favorite soccer players like Micheal Owen, David Backham. Yeah I am really addicted to football. But now I dont have much time to practice it.

Surprisingly, Cambodia is becoming the host for the Under-age 17 Asian Football Competition during 19 August to 1 September.

But I am abit sad that I couldn't have a chance to cheer our soccer team since I will be having class in that time, Damn bad! Hopefully, Cam team could show more abilities to play better than the previous years on this occasion cos most Cambodians who fan for football will cheer them up. And on behalf of soccer fans, I dont want to hear thing again and over again that IT JUST FOR EXPERIENCE cos WE just a " Young". We should admit what we have and should not try to avoid many times (just like a fool). Yeah we need time to build on it. Wish we have " a good chance." However, my regret was faded away when I heard that my youngest brother who is in the national team of Cam soccer under age 15 going to have a match for Southeast Asian Football Festival Competition from 5 to 9 June 2007 in Malaysia . There are 12 countries to attend this competition( including Australia). Excitedly, I would go to cheer his team if i would have time. But I think I should go to support them so that they have more motivation to win a match!( i guess there maybe no supporter for them cos it is probably that there is no much focus for these youngsters' stuff which is not much taken seriously as "most people" might give less value to younger than to elder. However, young people may do better than them if they have a good training.) This competition probably is the route of the better future soccer team if they would have a chance to win since we could have good younger players for the National team if there are a lot of opportunities like this for children to show their talents. Any soccer fan please give them supports by any means you wish to do.......(contact me if you wish to give some financial for them hehehe...I'll keep it safe for this matter!!! Okie Just a joke. Anyway, just pray for this team and other Cam soccer teams to get"A Good Chance")

Oh yeah, today having played a friendly soccer match with the ever one to one team, I felt I had some delight with some sort of tiredness, and then with a full-open-mouth square table talk with all soccer members my feeling increased to higher level of happiness. But coming home, I did a shower with alone singing, and after practicing my guitar stuff, I took a newspaper Financial Time to browse all the pages. Actually, I haven't read news for so long, and just this time I got feeling strange to pick it up again. I read some topics and for a while I saw one topic about the pursuit of happiness. I started to look over it and read through the pages. Oh what a shock! one phrase made me doubtful. It is said that delightfully, science now confirms what women know--never trust a man can't or won't dance. So what is the connection between Trust and Dance? Does dancing prove all the shadow inside a man? I am too young to get these ideas down to think of this matter. So if anybody has some thought, kindly voice out your opinions so that I also can learn. And then it will become also pro or anti the author point of view. However, I feel a bit fine with this idea as I am planning to take Hip-Hop dancing course next term, so I can even show that I am trustful to all ladies(No big deal...Hehe:).

Being alone but feel not lonely

Well, after a wonderful trip to Thailand and Laos with my ever cool friends, I just wanna write some piece of my memories of the trip and a moment of happiness, but I felt not so well to write about it. I think it was a very unforgettable event. So I should wait until my feeling good and for the photo from my friends too cos now m alone here and they all went back home lolz. And then I'll start to write good piece mixing with romantic scenario as well...:p. Anyway, I did another thing besides getting the ideas down which was playing guitar all day and trying to find a melody for my band's songs too. I could not find a good one now cos I just know several chords and techniques. Then I started to practice myself those kinds of chords with some techniques through my own songs and my friend's songs that we had written.

I found that practice your own songs maybe help you learn the chords and move your hands faster even though it is not conventional but just the sake for getting used to it. So if you interested in playing guitar too, you can learn these songs that I post here with basic chords lolz....Okie too much to say....you maybe bored of this.

We have chosen this name due to not only its meaning but also its sounds like Khmer since we are all Cambodians who never ever forget our own land of birth. So what all of you need to do next is that writing down this band's name: CAMeor in your note book, and then you will be surely surprised by that. It's easy; believe me! Something will happen when you finish writing it down. If you don't try, so how do you get to know it? Then, Don't wait for so long while you still are alive...:) Well, That's all I wanna say. This was our first performance during KNY at Cam Embassy, but anyway we were sorry to uncle Minh Sothyvann who couldn't make music for our songs cos these were new melody and new style that made it hard for him to play to fit our songs. Walking alone, I feel scary sometimes. I just don’t understand why life is so complicated and unpredictable. Living without hope seems like going down to the hell, to me. Honestly, when coming to the outside world, I feel that there are a lot of things to learn, experience, try, and so on. My curiosity is now bursting days by days. One thing that had influenced me and let me rethink what I should do, what I have to do, and what I will do is when I was working with one organization for one of my school projects.
This organization, a global community inspiring youth awesome living, spreading the “YOU CAN” attitude so youth can pursue their dream, has taught me a lots. Since then, I found that I have changed in terms of personality, attitude, and mindset.

When the passion of a dream becomes compelling enough, it seems we tend to become just so much more willing to almost absentmindedly place ourselves in perilous positions just to see if something might happen. Think pubescent teenager waiting under the void deck for hours just to catch a glimpse of that girl from the other class that he’s so in serious like with.

If you have a dream, pursue it. Do it for the experience, the bragging rights and stories to share. But if you don’t do it for yourself, do it for all the people that need to see someone doing it because they are just too scared to do it alone.

Our band consists 4 boys(Handsome & Gentle), namely Phuomirak(Composer, Singer, Lead guitar man...), Nenja( Singer, Pianist,Guitarist), Harryman(Pianist, Singer,Base Guitarist ), & last but not least Youngster( guitar man, Drummer, singer).
